Betty Jo Radford Gruber, age 75, of Christiansburg died, Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Christiansburg on April 1, 1942 to the late John E. “Hank” and Edith Simms Radford.


She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Gruber; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Tucker; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie Jo and William Joe Rasnake; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Nancy Gruber; grandchildren, Corey, Tucker, Patrick and Sean; sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Butch Hilton; brother and sister-in-law, John and Ginger Radford; and nieces and nephews, Nicole and Tim Seevers, Justin and Amanda Woo, and John Radford.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 5 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Dennis Hutchison and Pete Flinchum officiating. The family will host a gathering with light refreshments at the Villas at Peppers Ferry Clubhouse in Christiansburg at 7 p.m.
