Scenes from David Ferrell’s family farm are featured prominently in “Barbed Wire & Beyond.”

RADFORD — Glencoe Museum will hold an artist’s reception for “Barbed Wire & Beyond,” the photography of David Ferrell, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

A lifelong resident of Pulaski County, Ferrell developed an appreciation of nature with his brother in managing the family farm that started as a dairy operation.  Today, however, the farm supports a herd of beef cattle, the subject of many of David’s photographs.

Ferrell began photographing livestock in 2011, and the gardener has has expanded to capturing images of his gardens and landscapes around his home.

The public is invited to the free reception, where refreshments will be served. Glencoe Museum is at 600 Unruh Drive in Radford. Refreshments will be served. Ferrell’s works will be on display through Feb. 28.

For more information, call Glencoe Museum at (540) 731-5031 or visit www.glencoemuseum.org.
