Frank Edward Gearheart passed from time unto eternity on Oct. 4, 2026. Frank was born May 17, 1936, and is predeceased by his loving wife Gwenn Gearheart, mother Anne Gearheart, father Sherman Gearheart, and sisters Betty Forlines and Marica Chewing.

Frank is survived by his sister, Rosa Lee Coeburn; children, Pam Woodall (Larry), Greg Gearheart (Lisa) and Marty Gearheart (Toni O’Saile); seven grandchildren, Daniel Woodall, Kristi Thornberg, Holly Cornish, Joseph Gearheart, Keri Redman, Sara Davies and Leah Gearheart; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Ron Campbell (Zane); and many other relatives and friends.

Mr. Gearheart was a veteran of the United States Army, attended Dublin United Methodist Church and was a member of the Beni Kedam Shrine Patrol. At the time of his passing, he was a resident of Fairlawn. He was born and resided in Bluefield, W.Va. for many years prior to retiring to live on Claytor Lake in Virginia.

The Gearhearts owned and operated the popular children’s store in Bluefield, The Paper Doll Shoppe, for many years. Frank also was employed by Rockwell International, Blacor Steel and Consolidated Steel. His favorite part-time employment was making children smile while playing Santa Claus.

Frank lived a long and eventful life shared with his wife Gwenn. Together they endeavored to raise children that would have all the opportunity life offered. As their children became adults, they lived life enjoying the beauty of the lake and all the events and locations they could. Football games, grandchildren’s events, trips with friends, cruises, and large and boisterous family gatherings were all part of their retirement enjoyment.

Above all, faith was the main component of Frank’s life, especially after the passing of his wife Gwenn. Frank faithfully spent an hour each day in study and prayer, typically remembering the family members he loved dearly and looking forward to being in the presence of Jesus with his wife.

The family received friends Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. A celebration of Frank’s life followed. Graveside services followed in Roselawn Cemetery in Princeton, W.Va.
