Sandra Lee “Conrad” Furey passed away on April 15, 2017 in Blacksburg. She was 67 years old. Sandra was born in Keyser, West Virginia on Aug. 19, 1949 to Floyd J. Conrad and Rosalyn Joyce “Clevenger” Conrad. She was married on Sept. 30, 1967 in Westernport, Maryland to Richard Michael Furey.

Sandra is survived by her husband, and best friend, Richard Michael “Mike” Furey of Blacksburg. She gave life to, and caringly raised to adulthood, three beautiful, amazing children. Sandra was an amazing mother, grandmother and wife to her family whom she cherished.

Her children are Robyn Michelle Furey of Blacksburg, Roxanne Marie Ginipro of Boone, North Carolina, and Ryan Michael Furey of Charlotte, North Carolina. Sandra bragged on, and loved, her seven grandchildren: Calvin Clay Long, Adam Michael Long, Kirsten Nicole Ginipro, Benjamin Liam Herron, Nicholas Kyle Ginipro, Megan Elizabeth Furey and Justin Michael Furey.

Her sister, and long phone talks buddy, Deborah Joyce Robinette lives in Keyser, West Virginia. Her life and devotion to her family will be honored with a memorial celebration with lots of her favorite 60’s music and toasts to what she meant to each of us.
