Last month I went to New York City, had the opportunity to visit the 9/11 Memorial, The Statute of Liberty, and Ellis Island. After touring the three monuments I realized how lucky I was to be a part of this great county, and to be an American citizen. The United States is not without problems, we are all disappointed from time to time when decisions are made by local, state and federal governments. But we are fortunate; unlike many other countries we have a voice in each level of government every time we vote.
4th of July is an opportunity for us to realize what a wonderful county this is.
