Former Radford resident Dr. Sydney Van Arsdale (far right) is set to compete for the US national team at the Ju-jitsu World Championships in Australia starting Oct. 26. Van Arsdale is a 2008 graduate of Radford High School and currently resides in Lynchburg where she works as a pharmacist. She holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and practices at New River Ju-Jitsu.
