Former Radford University men’s basketball standout Travis Fields, Jr., signed a professional contract with BC Vera Thursday morning.

Located in the Republic of Georgia, BC Vera competes in the Georgian Basketball Super League, the top professional men’s basketball league in Georgia. The first season of the league was played in 1991, and in 2014 the league saw the introduction of a second-tier league called A-League (A-Liga). BC Vera finished last season in third place with a 9-6 record.

Fields averaged 10 points per game at Radford in his career and averaged 13.1 points as a senior, 16th bet in the Big South, in 2019. As a senior, the Portsmouth native was named First-Team All-Big South. He handed out 107 assists and passed the 1,000-point mark for his career in his last game. His senior season the guard ranked seventh in the league with 2.1 3-pointers made per game, which also led all Highlanders.
