Wava Jane Emswiler, 83, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 at her home in Max Meadows. She was a member of Graham’s Forge United Methodist Church and was a cook for the National Geographic Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Walker; and longtime companion, James “Buddy” Guynn, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Sue Beahm of Walkersville, Md.; sons, David Emswiler of Harrisonburg, Va., Rodney Emswiler of Knoxville, Md. and Kirk Emswiler of Mt. Airy, Md.; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, June Beck of Mt. Airy, Md.; brothers, Dwight Walker of Calif., and Richard Walker of Kansas; special little friend, Addy: and many other relatives and friends.
Per her request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to any Animal Rescue of your choice.
The Emswiler family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
