Baker, Cory Brent

Cory Brent Baker, 43, of Fairlawn, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at UVA Medical Center. He was a member of Freedom Fellowship and was employed with ATK – Radford Arsenal. Born Jan. 15, 1974, he was preceded in death by his father, Carlis B. Baker.


Survivors include his wife, Melissa S. Baker; mother and stepfather, Carol and Don Eastwood of Wytheville; son, Austin Brent Baker and daughter, McKensie Nicole Baker, both of Fairlawn; brother and sister-in-law, Jesse and Tara Baker of Belspring; half brother and sister-in-law, Carlis and Lorie Baker of N.C.; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Kyle Frets of Fairlawn; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Hufford Cemetery in Pulaski. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the American Lung Association National Direct Response Headquarters 1200 Hosford Street, Suite 101 Hudson, WI 54016-9316. The Baker family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
