Elf Shelf says thank you

The Radford Elf Shelf would like to thank the community for helping us have another successful season.

Thanks to terrific support from individual donors and local businesses, churches, civic groups, school and social organizations, volunteers and supporters of all ages, we were able to provide gifts for 378 children and food vouchers for 241 families, making a merry holiday for many Radford citizens.

Many volunteers gave their time to assist with registering eligible families, soliciting and gathering donations, pickup and delivery of donated items, setting up and breaking down our Elf Shelf “store” and making our 23rd year a success.

We continue to hear gratitude from those who register for the program and expressions of gratefulness for making the holiday season brighter for their families.  But our gratitude goes to the community members who faithfully support our efforts each year. Without your help, we would not be able to provide support to Radford community members who are in need. So, to everyone who dropped a toy in a donation box, sent in a monetary donation, volunteered their time, worked at our distribution site or helped spread the work about Radford Elf Shelf, we thank you!

Ann Walker,

Radford
