After the City of Radford canceled this year’s Easter egg hunt in an effort to cut
costs, a local church and community group stepped up to keep the event going.
Hosted by Community Life Church and NRV Community Works, the Easter event is
set for this Saturday, April 19 at Bisset Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Event includes
petting zoo, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, face-painting and raffle baskets,
and, of course, egg hunting, which is divided by age group. Ages three and under:
10:30 a.m.; ages four to six: 10:45 a.m.; ages seven to nine: 11 a.m.; and ages
10-12: 11:15 a.m.
