Dr. Justin Passerini (above with his son Oliver) got a hair cut last week— a significant moment for him and his family since he donated his long locks to Wigs for Kids.

Lisa Pierce (left, at right) at MP Styling inside Bombshell Beauty Salon & School at Botetourt Plaza in Daleville did the honors. Passerini, who works at HOPE Chiropractic and Nutrition inside Botetourt Chiropractic at Botetourt Plaza, started growing his hair to donate in June 2015. It was his fourth experience growing his hair to donate. Both he and his wife Ashley donated hair the day after they got engaged in June 2014, Ashley said. According to its website, for over 30 years, Wigs for Kids has been providing hair replacement systems and support for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns and other medical issues at no cost to children or their families. Below are Justin Passerini in an “after” picture with Ashley and Oliver.
