Luther Ishmul Conner, Jr., 88, born in Radford, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, at his home in Christiansburg. Born July 9, 1937, he was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Ishmul, Sr. and Grace Earles Conner; his brother, David Conner; his sister, Becky Hewitt; and his son-in-law, Ray Tuck.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joy Conner; daughters, Bonnie Tuck, Sarah Paun and Grace Conner; grandchildren, Abi (Dakota), Nathaniel (Abby), Nadia, Junior, Jocelynn, Beau and Dane; great-grandson, Gatlin Dolgos; brothers, Dan Conner (Faye); sister, Mary Lynn Conner; sister-in-law, Patty Conner; brother-in-law, Wayne Hewitt; and many other relatives and special friends.
The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Joel Antley officiating. Entombment with full military honors will take place following the memorial service at 3 p.m. in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
