Citywide residential leaf collection underway

The City of Radford’s residential leaf collection program is underway. The annual leaf collection program is a free service to residents. The program follows three zones in the city with a minimum of two collection periods per zone, followed by a citywide collection at the end of the period for leaves that fall after the initial pickup periods. No need to call for pick-up; just rake, drag or carry leaves to the edge of the public right-of-way on one’s property and the city will come by and suck them up. The map pictured here shows when a resident can expect to have their leaves picked up. The leaves cannot be put into bags or other receptacles to be picked up through the collection program.
