NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF RADFORD, VIRGINIA
TAX LEVIES FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2022 AND F.Y. 2022-2023 BUDGET
Pursuant to Section 58.1-3007 of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given that a public hearing is scheduled for
7:00 P.M. April 11, 2022 on the proposed Tax Rates for Calendar Year 2022. Interest parties are invited to attend the public hearing and present their views. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located at 10 Robertson Street.
FURTHER, notice is given that the Council’s intention to propose no increases in the following tax levies for Calendar year 2021:
- Real Property tax levy remains at $0.84 per one $100.00 of assessed value.
- Machinery and tools tax levy remains at $1.76 per $100.00 of assessed value.
- Tangible personal property as listed and specified in Subsections 3 through 13 of Section 58.1-3503A,
Code of Virginia, 1950 as amended, remains at $2.44 per $100.00 of assessed value.
- Tangible personal property as listed and specified in Subsections 15 through 19 of Section 58.1-3503A,
Code of Virginia 1950 As Amended, remains at $1.76 per $100.00 of assessed value.
Notice is also given that the City Council of Radford City scheduled a public hearing for 7:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter, April 12, 2022 on the Advertised Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget in the amount of $66,999,753. The hearing will be held in the Council Chambers located at 10 Robertson Street.
