The Christiansburg boys cross country team earned a second place team finish on Wednesday at Green Hill Park in the Class 3 championship race. Team members are Lawson Mecom, Jesse Hudnall, Nicholas McCumsey, Dillon Craig, Joshua Starr, Jeremy Leichner, and Evan Spaulding.Christiansburg’s Allison Sarver leads teammate Lea McCumsey during the Class 3 girls state championship on Wednesday at Green Hill Park. The Blue Demon girls placed 6th in the team competition.Christiansburg sophomore Lawson Mecom races in the Class 3 state championship race on Wednesday afternoon. His 8th place finish would help the Blue Demon boys to a second place team finish behind Western Albemarle.
