Charles Jeffordy Meade, Sr., 72, of Radford, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026. Born June 13, 1953, he served in the U. S. Air Force and the Army Reserves and was a retired officer at Red Onion Prison.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Joyce Cantrell Meade; and wife, Jackie Lee Meade.
Survivors include his children, Charles J. Meade, Jr., David Meade, Joseph Meade, Crista Meade and Jennifer Bratton; 9 grandchildren; father, Billy Harris Meade; brothers, Stephen Meade and Daniel Meade; sisters, Billie Joyce Mullins and Clarine Wilson; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services with full military services will be private.
The Meade family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
