Stuffed Animal Lock-in (Part II)

March 25, 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-7 may bring in their favorite stuffed animal and leave it for a library sleepover. At 5 p.m. on March 24, children, stuffed animals, and caregivers will come into the library after hours for a tea party and storytime.

Then, kids will leave their stuffed animals and go home for the evening. On Saturday, at 10:30 a.m., come pick up your stuffed animal and enjoy breakfast while you see a slideshow of photos from the evening. Registration is required. Call 731-3621 to register.

Saturday Book Club

March 25, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Bring a book or two and share titles/authors that you’ve recently discovered. No commitment is required!

Stories & Science (with Claytor Lake State Park)

March 25, 2-3 p.m.

Emily Newton, Claytor Lake’s Park Interpreter, will be doing activities and a lesson every week. The activities will change each week, but will include things like coloring, stories, skits, and experiments! Topics covered will also vary, but will include things like plants, flowers, treesand animals. For ages 5 and up.

Family Movie Matinee

March 26, 2-4 p.m.

All movies rated PG and family friendly.

STEM Club for Homeschoolers

March 27, 1-2 p.m.

STEM Club for ages 7 and up. Sessions are about one hour long. Topics will include either science, technology, engineering and/or math.

Creative Writing Workshop for teens

March 27, 3-4:30 p.m.

Teens – love writing? Want to sharpen your craft? Chris Miller of Mountain Trotter, Inc. is offering a four-part workshop at the Radford Public Library. Come to all four, or just drop-in! Registration is appreciated. To register call 731-3621 or email barbara.tait@radfordva.gov.

Movies for Teens

March 27, 3-5 p.m.

Every Monday at 3 p.m. movies (rated PG13 and below) will be screened in the teen area. Bring your own popcorn!

K-9 Demo for Teens

March 28, 3:30-4 p.m.

See a real, live police dog in action! Learn how they are trained, and how they work. Demo lasts 15-20 minutes.

Teen Story Hour

March 28, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Join us every Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. for story hour with Dave. Adults and teens welcome. Come for the coffee, stay for the stories! Call 731-3621 each week if you want details on Dave’s weekly reading selections.

Baby & Toddler Storytime

First-come, first-served. The Wii will be set up in the teen area – for teens only. We have some games, but if there is a Wii game you’d like to bring from home, you are welcome to do so.
