The Glorylanders sing the National Anthem at the City of Radford’s Independence Day celebration, held Friday, July 3 in Bisset Park. The America’s 250th Celebration also included DJ J. Scott Freeman, live music by the Domino Band, a patriotic dog show, food trucks, merchandise vendors, inflatable bouncy houses and games for children and a fireworks show. The City of Radford put on an impressive fireworks show on Friday, July 3, with the display nicely visible from this vista above West Main Street.The city’s fireworks display was produced by Fireworks by Grucci and was more than 20 minutes long, one of the longest fireworks displays the city has hosted.Nova the German Shepherd won the city’s patriotic dog show, part of the festivities hosted by the Radford Parks and Recreation Department in Bisset Park.Independence Day celebrations were held throughout the New River Valley.
