Carter Bank celebrated the refreshed branding of its Radford branch on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Radford Chamber of Commerce.

The Radford branch first opened its doors in 1988 and has served the community for nearly 40 years.

Donna Flora, Marketing Officer, welcomed guests and introduced Branch Manager Barbara Trent, who in turn introduced her staff. Trent spoke about the importance of the bank’s core values: building relationships, earning trust, and taking ownership. Jason Hardy, Commercial Market Manager, highlighted the strength that comes from being a larger bank while maintaining the personal service and local decision-making of a community bank. Jess Rehmann, Business Banker, emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with local businesses and understanding each business’s unique goals and challenges.

James Cabler, Community Development Representative, underscored a key component of the bank’s mission—ensuring opportunities are accessible to everyone in the community. Brad Vaughn, Mortgage Loan Originator, shared the bank’s commitment to making homeownership both achievable and approachable.

Dan McKinney, Executive Director of the Radford Chamber of Commerce, welcomed attendees and congratulated the Carter Bank team on this milestone. He then introduced City of Radford Mayor David Horton, who also congratulated the bank on its achievement and recognized its longstanding presence as a fixture on Main Street and within the Radford community.

The celebration concluded with the ceremonial ribbon cutting, with Branch Manager Barbara Trent having the honor of cutting the ribbon. Congratulations to Carter Bank and its Radford Branch. The community is invited to stop by and learn more at their location at 1900 East Main St. in Radford.
