Announcing the LEGO Home Building Contest at the 2024 NRV Home Expo
NEW RIVER VALLEY – Registration is now open for The New River Valley Home Builders Association (NRVHBA) LEGO Home Building Contest, sponsored by Carter Bank & Trust, taking place at the 2024 NRV Home Expo March 23 and 24 at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.
Kids and adults ages four and up from the New River Valley are invited to submit entries of their best custom home creation. New for the 2024 Lego Home Building Contest, entries from 18 and up architects will be accepted.
Best in Show winners will be chosen from among three age groups for the kid’s entries, and one from the 18 and up entries. The homes will be judged at the 2024 NRV Home Expo by NRVHBA members, receiving scores based on Overall Design, the Best Use of LEGO Elements, and the “Cool Factor” (overall creativity and originality).
An award will also be given for the People’s Choice for both the younger and adult groups. Attendees at the NRV Home Expo will be invited to vote for their favorite entry. Each age group winner and the people’s choice winner will receive a custom-made medal and a $50 gift card. Winners will be announced at the NRV Home Expo on Sunday March 24.
