Christopher Michael Callahan, born May 27, 1976, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stephanie. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Bernice Callahan; his sister Sara Snow (Eric); nephew, Jake Snow; and niece, Ally Snow.

He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and amazing friends who all loved him dearly. The best words to describe Christopher would be son, brother, uncle, friend and co-worker. Family was extremely important to him as were his friends and co-workers. He had many dear friendships that went all the way back to childhood, high school and college. He also made many lasting friendships at work over many years.

The response from his family and friends to his battle with leukemia was nothing short of amazing. So many people stepped up to help take care of him. These acts of kindness, love, and support were so important to him in his battle to fight this disease. His family would like to thank everyone at the Levine Cancer Institute for their efforts and to Carilion Hospice for their support and comfort.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brad Dulaney officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at McCoy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carilion Hospice at 701 Randolph St., Radford, VA 24141.
