Music from “The Great White Way”, old and new, will highlight a special concert event at Central Fine Arts Academy, Central United Methodist Church in Radford, S7 p.m. Saturday.

“A Night of Broadway” presents students and faculty of the academy performing vocals, instrumentals and band versions of such favorite shows as “Frozen,” “My Fair Lady,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “The Sound of Music, Smokey Joe’s Café,” “Wicked” and others.

Songs of note include “Hello My Baby,” Matilda’s “When I Grow Up” and “New York, New York.” The program is being produced by Alice Armentrout, the academy director.

It is also a chance to see the new Family Life Center, recently opened for church events and community activities, where the stage will be set up for the concert. The center is behind CUMC, 803 Wadsworth St..

Tickets are $5 and available at the church office or at the door on the night of the event. Parking is free and available beside and behind the church.

For more information, contact the church at 639-3529, or www.cumcradford.org.
