Boyd, Lula Mae Spence

Lula Mae Spence Boyd, 81, passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at her home in Radford surrounded by her family. Lula was a member of the West Radford Church of God. Born on Nov. 26, 1937, she was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Wetah Spence; and her husband, James Dudley Boyd, Sr.; and brother, Charles Spence, Sr.


Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Linda Guthrie, and Wanda and Mike Melton, all of Radford; son and daughter-in-law, J. D. and Kathy Boyd of Riner; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Walter Turman, and Martha and Billy Altizer.

The family received friends on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services were held with Pastor Chandler Jones and Rev. Dallas Vines officiating. Interment followed in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

The Boyd family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
