Howard Earl Bowers, 92 of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. Mr. Bowers was a retired engineer and served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his children, Susan L Bowers, Amelia J. Bowers and Howard D. Bowers; his wife, Barbara; and stepson, William J. Moody. Mr. Bowers is also survived by his grandchildren, Elliott Bowers, Jessee Bowers and Timothy Thornton.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Southwest Virginia Veteran Cemetery in Dublin with Pastor Kevin Meadows officiating.
