Ms. Margaret “Denise” Boor, 76, of Christiansburg, passed away April 16, 2026.

Born in Maryland on Aug. 7, 1949, Denise moved to the New River Valley as a young woman, where she became a mother, teacher, grandmother, and dear friend whose warmth and enthusiasm touched many lives.

For 30 years, Denise taught science at Belle Heth Elementary School and in Radford City Public Schools, inspiring generations of students with her love of learning and fascination with the natural world.

Denise is survived by her four children, Liberty Hall, Kate Fletchall, Zachary Boor and Lucas Boor; her six grandchildren; two sisters; three nieces; a nephew; and countless friends she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Mary Smith Inabinett, and her children’s father, Mosby G. Boor, in 2024.

The family will celebrate Denise’s life privately.

Her memory lives on through her family, students, colleagues, friends, and the community she helped shape.

The Boor family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory, 120 W Main Street, Radford.
