RADFORD – The Bobcat Theatre Company will be presenting “Our Town” this weekend in a series of performances at the Radford High School auditorium.

“Our Town” is widely considered one of the most beloved plays of all time. Written by Thornton Wilder in 1938, the play showcases 12 years in the town of Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire at the start of the 20th century, and centers on the love story of main characters George and Emily. “This production, produced by Bobcat Theatre Company features, 17 cast members and several crew, and is a stripped down play that features a minimal set, minimal costume pieces, and the actors barely leave the stage during the whole run,” said Casey Worley, Director of Theatre Arts for RHS.

The show is being directed by Erin Wilson, a senior at Radford High School, and Worley, and features student actors in grades 7-12. The play also features four adult actors – two faculty members of RHS, Cam Sellers and Megan Thompson, and two community members, McKinley Rorrer and Wendy Wilson.

Our Town runs Friday, Feb. 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 4 and Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. Run time is two hours. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or at www.btcradford.com.
