Annie Bernice Bishop, 89, of Christiansburg, was called to be with her heavenly father, on July 3, 2020. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Bishop, Jr., and her parents, Samuel and Louise Redmond. She worked with New River Community Action in Christiansburg and also as a home health care provider.
Bernice is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Samuel M. Bishop of Christiansburg and Clayton and Susan Bishop of Greenville, S.C.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Carolyn B. Trussell of Blacksburg and Barbara Bishop-Dow and Cornell Dow of Christiansburg; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family received friends on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Christiansburg. Graveside services followed at Schaeffer Community Cemetery with the Rev. Hiawatha Spraggins officiating. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
