Shirley Leftwich Alderman, 87, of Elliston, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Washington, DC Feb. 8, 1937, to the late Walter Martin and Gladys Clifford Routh. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Howard Leftwich, and her second husband, Robert Allan Alderman.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri “Tobi” and Ronnie Carbonneau, Laurie and Kenny Wood, and Wendy Leftwich Croy; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kim Leftwich and Darren Leftwich; stepchildren, Carrie Reed, Bonnie Booth (Scott) and Robert A. “Bobby” Alderman, Jr. (Danielle); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dewey O. Weaver, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
