Muncy Jr., Paul “Skeeter” Estes

Paul “Skeeter” Estes Muncy Jr., beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully Feb. 23, 2025, at 5:35 p.m. at the age of 56. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing.

Paul was born June 30, 1968 in Riner to Linda Brown and Paul Muncy, Sr. He grew up in Riner and built a life rooted in love, kindness, and integrity.

As a father, Paul was a guiding light to his three children. Michael A. Muncy, John W. Muncy, and Amy O. Muncy, teaching them the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience. His legacy will live on through his children and his cherished grandchildren, who knew him as a source of wisdom, comfort, and joy.

He was a devoted brother to Kevin Muncy, sharing a bond of laughter and support that lasted throughout his life. Paul’s generosity and warmth extended beyond family, touching the lives of many friends and community members.

Paul approached life with a spirit of adventure and gratitude. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa L. Muncy; his two sons Michael A. Muncy and John W. Muncy and his wife Tia Muncy, and his daughter Amy O. Muncy, her husband Mathias Buhr and his granddaughter Clara E. Buhr. He is also survived by his brother Kevin Muncy and his wife Lisa Muncy. They will carry his memory forward with love.

A celebration of Paul’s life was held Feb. 28, 2025 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, where friends and family are invited to share stories and honor his memory. Interment followed in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. There was a visitation before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

Paul Muncy’s gentle spirit, unwavering love, and enduring strength will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
