The RCSO “has been made aware that citizens are receiving phone calls from a number that has been changed to appear as if it were coming from the Radford Sheriff’s Office,” the RCSO posted on Friday. “The person calling indicates that the citizen has outstanding warrants or has failed to appear in court.”
“Radford Sheriff’s Office wants to remind citizens that the Radford City Sheriff’s Office will never contact you by phone concerning a warrant, failure to appear in court, personal information or payment,” the post continued. “This is a scam. Please share and help us spread the word!”
