Radford High School senior Audrey Mosby and her horse Ranger recently earned six world championship titles, three reserve championship titles, a third-place finish and a sixth-place finish in the Pinto World Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mosby and Ranger are also the 2022 High Point Youth Pleasure/Saddle winners of the competition.
The Pinto World Championship is a 13-day horse show held in June every year with some 800 classes of competition for all ages and levels, including youth, amateurs, novice, and open. The classes cater to all kinds of horses, including Stock Type, Hunter Type, Pleasure Type, Saddle Type, Utilities, Miniatures, and Ponies.
Prizes that include buckles, ribbons, chairs, rose garlands, and saddles are awarded to the World Champions, Reserve World Champions and high point winners.
Mosby said showing at Pinto Worlds has been a dream of hers since she was seven years old when she saw her coach come home with her Pinto World Champion belt buckle.
Since Tulsa, Mosby and Ranger have been training to show at the Eastern Arabian Horse Show and East Coast Championship, which runs through Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va.
