BLACKSBURG — The Annual Artisan Fair hosted by the YMCA at Virginia Tech is set for this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7 and 8.

The event brings together local and regional artisans offering a wide array of handmade goods, perfect for holiday gifting or finding a personal treasure. From pottery and textiles to jewelry, woodwork, and fine art, the Artisan Fair showcases the rich talent and traditions of the region. More than just a shopping experience, it’s a chance to support the arts, connect with neighbors, and celebrate the values of the Y in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The artisan fair will be held at The Y Center, 1000 N. Main St., Blacksburg. Hours are 10 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday.

During the event, the Y Artisan Fair Cocktail Hour & Community Gallery Reception will also be held. Meet the talented artists featured in both the fair and the photography exhibition, enjoy light refreshments and handcrafted cocktails from J.H. Bards (cash bar), and discover the stories behind the art on Friday, Nov. 7, 5-7:30 p.m.

“The Artisan Fair has grown into a cherished tradition over the past five decades,” said Amelia Tuckwiller, Artisan Fair Coordinator. “It began as a small gathering of local makers and has blossomed into a regional celebration of creativity and community. Each year, we’re honored to welcome returning artists and new faces, all contributing to the spirit of the season and the mission of the Y.”

Come celebrate the spirit of the season, invest in local creativity, and experience the joy of community through art.
