Kevin Forest Hite

Working in conjunction with the Radford City Police Department, the Christiansburg Police Department last Thursday charged Kevin Forest Hite, 54, of Radford with 10 felony counts of unlawful carnal knowledge (without force) of a child aged 13-14 years (18.2-63) and one felony count of taking indecent liberties with a minor by encouraging a child to send explicit material electronically (18.2-370).

Hite was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held without bail in the New River Valley Regional Jail.

The charges were placed after an investigation revealed Hite had engaged in a sexual relationship with a child over an extended period of time, beginning when the child was 13 years old.

Following the arrest, the Christiansburg Police Department issued a statement thanking the Radford City Police Department for their assistance and support during this investigation.
