Auburn’s Caitlyn Dominy finished in the girls’ 1,000-meter run at this week’s indoor track meet. The Auburn girls’ squad finished seventh in the team standings with 29.33 points. Maggie Walker ran away from the competition with 110 points while East Rockingham was second with 45.Auburn High School’s Jesse Shelor took second place in Tuesday’s 1A/2A state indoor track meet held at Roanoke College. As a team, the Eagles finished second with 43 total points. Maggie Walker took the trophy with 99 points. Brunswick finished third and Floyd County fourth.Peyton Hurd gave Auburn a third-place finish in the 1,000-meter run.Radford High School’s Tyashia Gellner raced to second in the 55-meter hurdles at Wednesday’s 1A/2A state indoor track meet held at Roanoke College. The Radford girls’ squad finished 16th in the team standings as Maggie Walker dominated with East Rockingham second.
