Blacksburg’s Caden Byrd had a huge game for the Bruins against Christiansburg, scoring 30 points, including five three-point baskets. Blacksburg rallied in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime, 31-31. The Blue Demons outscored the Bruins in the third quarter by 10 points and continued strong play in the fourth for an eventual 72-50 win.
