The fourth annual YMCA at Virginia Tech Try Y’s Pi contest is coming very soon but there’s still time to buy your tickets if you don’t delay.
Here’s how it works: purchase your ticket and pickup details will be sent to you on Mar. 13. On Mar. 14 between 4-6 p.m. you will collect your five-piece pie sampler. Go home and enjoy your pie and on Mar. 15 you will receive a link to vote for your favorite pie. On Mar. 18 we will announce the winning pie. All votes will be entered into a random
draw to win gift cards from the participating restaurants. Just like that!
Participating bakeries are Our Daily Bread, Blacksburg Bagels, Next Door Bake Shop, Bull & Bones Christiansburg and one yet unnamed.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and to eat pie.
Celebrate Pi Day with our delicious pie sampler. Order your ticket to purchase your five-piece pie sampler from four of Blacksburg’s best bakeries. For details and tickets visit https://vtymca.org/try-ys-pi/ Tickets on sale now through Mar.12 so don’t miss out on your piece of the pie.
