Donald Lee Whittaker, 62, of Newport, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Whittaker, Jr., and his infant sister, Debbie Whittaker. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pamela Jean Whittaker; son, Randy Whittaker and girlfriend, Cassie Miller; grandchildren, Wyatt, Waylon, and Oaklee Whittaker; mother, Shirley Ann Whittaker; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Wanda Whittaker, and Michael and Teresa Whittaker; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Steve and Lou Akers officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family received friends prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home.
