West Main Gardens announces weekly music event

West Main Gardens, pictured here, is the location of a new weekly outdoor music event called the “Tuesday Night Jammers.” Music starts at 6:30 p.m. The events are family friendly and free to attend.

RADFORD – West Main Gardens, located in the courtyard at 309 West Main St., has announced a weekly music event, free and open to the public. 

The first event was Tuesday, July 5.

“We are so excited to share a new recurring event with you, Radford,” the organization stated on its Facebook page. “Starting July 5, we will be blessed with the music of the “Tuesday Night Jammers –  guitars, mandolins, and fiddles to accompany some of our favorite folk, soft rock, and Americana songs.”

West Main Gardens is self-described as “a community initiative of local business owners, health professionals, and environmental enthusiasts seeking to cultivate community connection and resilience through gardening.”

“You can expect to start hearing music around 6:30 p.m., but you are welcome to visit the courtyard beforehand, thanks to the generosity of J&K Property Management,” organizers said. “These are family friendly events so please feel comfortable to bring the kids and set up on the lawn for a little.”
