Rachel Watson Wallace, 78, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, June 21, 2025. She was born in Peru, South America, March 10, 1947, to the late Douglas F. and Helen Elkins Watson. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristen Pendleton.
She taught reading for Montgomery County Public Schools for over 35 years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mark Pendleton; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Marlana Wallace; grandchildren, Lindsey Pendleton, Caleb Wallace, and Matthew Pendleton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Eileen Watson, Doug and Shirley Watson, and their families.
Rachel had an extreme love for all animals.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Visitation was Monday, June 23, 2025, at McCoy Funeral Home.
