BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting on Monday, Nov. 6, at 1:30 p.m. in 2100 Torgersen Hall, 620 Drillfield Dr., on the Blacksburg campus.
All other committee meetings or other sessions held during these two days will be held at the Inn at Virginia Tech (901 Prices Fork Road), unless otherwise noted.
On Sunday, Nov. 5, at 1:30 p.m., all board members will meet in open session for an information session in Latham Ballroom. On Monday, Nov. 6, board members will tour recently completed capital construction projects in the Upper Quad — Upper Quad Hall North (280 Stanger Street) and Corps Leadership and Military Science Building (355 Old Turner Street) — beginning at 8:30 a.m., both on the Blacksburg campus.
On Monday, the chairs of the five standing board committees will meet in open session at 7:30 a.m., in the Old Guard Salon.
In addition, on Nov. 5 and 6, the following committee meetings will be held:
On Monday, the Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will meet in closed session at 8:30 a.m., followed by open session at 9 a.m., all in the Smithfield Room.
On Monday, the Buildings and Grounds Committee will meet in open session at 10 a.m. in the Solitude Room.
On Sunday, the Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee will meet in closed session at 9:45 a.m., followed by open session at 11 a.m., all in Latham Ballroom.
The Finance and Resource Management Committee will meet Monday at 8:30 a.m. in open session followed by closed session, all in the Cascades Room.
The Governance and Administration Committee will meet in open session on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Latham Ballroom.
During the two-day meeting, board members will receive reports or updates on the university’s strategic plan, university enrollment, the Virginia Business Higher Education Council, the Whole Health initiative, campus sustainability, and the Innovation Campus.
