In Bisset Park, one of the results of the flooding was the memorial for Radford’s veterans who were killed in action in wars was knocked over. Now the monument is back in place thanks to the efforts of three very strong members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 776, Nathan Vanhoy, Charles Chamberlain and Fred Woolever.

“Four from the VFW went to Bisset Park at the gazebo to set up the monument that was moved and knocked over,” said VFW Commander Gary Harris. “It took three good men to reset it.”

“As commander, I gave out instructions,” Harris joked.
