Monday Afternoon Book Club

The Radford Monday Afternoon Book Discussion Group meets in the library’s meeting room on the second Monday of each month at 4 p.m. Everyone interested in these informal discussions is welcome to attend. We will be discussing “A Tree Grows in Brooklyn” by Betty Smith. Multiple copies of the books being discussed are available to be checked out at the library.

Entries due for teen photo contest
April 14
Submit your best photo to fit the theme “environmental awareness.” Participants must be between the ages 13 and 18. Entry is free, one entry per person. First, second, and third place winners will be chosen from the entries by Andrew Ross, Assistant Professor of Photography at Radford University.
The winning images will be printed, framed, and displayed at the Radford Public Library for the month of May. Winners will be announced at the Earth Day Party at the Radford Public Library on April 25, from 3-4:30 p.m.
Entry is by digital submission. Photos must be in .jpeg format, and at least six megapixels large. Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. on April 14. To submit, please email your photo and completed entry form with a thematic statement to Barbara Tait at Barbara.tait@radfordva.gov.
Videogames for teens

First-come, first-served. The Wii will be set up in the teen area – for teens only. We have some games, but if there is a Wii game you’d like to bring from home, you are welcome to do so.

Silent Film Night
