Children’s Music Camp July 8-12, pre-registration required
Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, 107 West Main Street, is excited to announce a new summer opportunity for children in the New River Valley. “Voice, Body, and Spirit” is a week long, half-day music and movement camp for rising first – fifth grade children, July 8-12, 9 a.m. to noon each day. “Voice, Body, and Spirit” is a time to come together to make music, learn new songs and dances, leave with a handmade craft or two, and make new friends. In partnership with the New River Valley Regional Commission, Montgomery County and the City of Radford are seeking feedback from citizens regarding the current status of broadband in our communities. Both electronic and paper copies of the survey are available throughout Montgomery County and the City of Radford.

Free Summer Lunches
The library is proud to be hosting free lunches through the City of Radford again this summer! Please sign up if you are able so that we can have a good estimate of how many lunches we will need. Walk-ins are also welcome while supplies last. Lunch is free to ages 0-18, but is $3 for adults (exact change, cash only). Monday – Thursday, June 10 – July 11, 12 – 12:30 p.m.
Entries needed for Blacksburg’s July 4th Parade
The Mount Tabor Ruritan Club is sponsoring the 33rd annual Blacksburg 4th of July Parade. Community Health Center of the New River Valley helps adults access VA health coverage
Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, new health coverage for adults will cover more people. If you work in retail, construction, childcare, landscaping, food service or many of the jobs that don’t offer health insurance, you may be able to get low-cost health insurance that includes regular preventive care and treatment for chronic health conditions.
