On Friday, May 18, United Way of the New River Valley hosted its fourth annual United Way Drive-thru Breakfast at the Hampton Inn in Christiansburg, and raised $2,500 to provide for critical human and health needs throughout the New River Valley.
For a $10 donation, customers received a breakfast bag stuffed with a hot biscuit, baked good, fruit, a freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and a copy of the News Messenger. All food was donated by Hampton Inn, Wades, Hethwood Market, Starbucks – Christiansburg, and Next Door Bake Shop.

The United Way thanked the Hampton Inn for hosting the event and First Team Nissan of New River Valley for sponsoring it, the volunteers who helped make it a success, and everyone who heard about the event and came by that morning.
The New River Valley is full of so many generous companies, organizations, and people, and this is an excellent example of what our community is capable of when we unite together to help others.
