Richard Emory Tickle, 68, of Radford, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, following a long battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 27, 1956, in Pearisburg. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Emory W. and Irene K. Tickle of Pearisburg; and his brother, Hobert D. Kirk of Radford.

Survivors include the love of his life, Connie Rhodes of Radford; sisters, Barbara Graham of Roanoke, Diana Johnston of Pulaski and Sylvia Harper of Natural Bridge; seven nephews; a niece; and many other family members and special friends. He also leaves his extended family of Chuck Curtis and family, and Wendy Washburn and family, both of Floyd.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford, with Pastor Mike Battle officiating.

The family of Richard Tickle is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
