RADFORD – The Highlander Hotel Radford is expected to open this March, and reservations are now being accepted for visitor stays and special events beginning April 1, 2023.
Adjacent to Radford University, the “new, independent, lifestyle hotel celebrates the enthusiastic friendliness inspired by the area’s Scots-Irish origins, delivering on spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and plans to offer impeccable service with a coffee bar, an in-lobby visitor center with concierge, a rooftop terrace, and 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space,” announced Aimbridge Hospitality, the hotel management company, on Monday.
The hotel is located at 600 Tyler Avenue, Radford.
The $40 million Highlander Hotel Radford development project began in April 2021 and is a public-private partnership between Radford University, the Radford University Foundation, design firm Blur Workshop, Preston Hollow Capital, S.B. Ballard Construction Company, and Aimbridge Hospitality.

A job fair is scheduled for today, Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Radford VEC, 6226 University Park Dr., Radford from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Applications are being taken for the following positions:
Accounting Manager, Director of Housekeeping, Front Desk Supervisor, Human Resources Manager, Night Auditor, Line Cook, Server, Bartender, Front Desk Agent, Housekeeping Attendant, and Kitchen Steward.
