Tailgate Guys has partnered with Virginia Tech Athletics to bring their premium, turnkey tailgating operations to Virginia Tech football home games in Blacksburg this fall.

Tailgate Guys will be setting up shop on Dietrick Lawn, located just up Beamer Way from Lane Stadium and across Washington Street from Cassell Coliseum.

“We look forward to partnering with Tailgate Guys, the standard bearer in this service industry,” Tech Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. “Virginia Tech is very pleased to announce this additional enhancement to our already-very-special game day and tailgating experience. The proximity to Lane Stadium and the green space on Dietrick Lawn across from the entrance to Cassell Coliseum should provide for a wonderful, unique turn-key tailgating experience for groups of Hokies from 10 to 2,000 to gather and socialize in comfort and style.”

Tailgate Guys was designed to take the trouble out of tailgating by providing an exclusive, fun game day experience for their guests. They offer tailgate packages to accommodate groups of all sizes. Offerings include tents, tables, chairs, coolers with ice, TV and media service, food and beverage options and their very own bellhop service.

Tailgate Guys, founded in 2009, operates on campuses and in bowl games around the Southeast. Current partners include: Auburn University, Texas A&M University, the University of Florida, Georgia Tech, the University of Texas, the Peach Bowl, the Cotton Bowl, TCU, the University of Alabama and new for 2017, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Tailgate Guys has been providing guests these services for eight years, and are excited to offer the same opportunity to Virginia Tech fans.

The Atlantic Region main office will be housed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and will be led by an experienced team that has relocated from other Tailgate Guys locations to take on this new region.

“It’s awesome when a plan comes together so well with such a great group of partners as what we’re seeing in the Atlantic Region,” Tailgate Guys’ President & CEO Parker Duffey said. “Each institution has shown a true commitment to our partnership and we look forward to serving their supporters and communities through our first-class service and hospitality.”

Hokie Club members will have priority in booking events with Tailgate Guys and will be receiving additional information via email this month on how they can make reservations. It is anticipated that members of the general public will able to reserve spots with Tailgate Guys beginning in July (subject to availability).

Reservations are expected to fill quickly as Tailgate Guys has been fully booked with stand-by lists for several years at other campus locations.
