CHRISTIANSBURG- The Chandlerie recently celebrated their first anniversary in conjunction with their monthly Sip + Shop Event.
Community members were able to browse the store, snack on sweet treats and enjoy a coffee from Space Rabbit Coffee. The Chandlerie also held a candle pouring workshop.
Business owner Astleigh Hill says The Chandlerie’s mission is not only to bring a light and wonderful scents to residents homes, but also to be a space where residents can learn and other small businesses can share a space during events.
Candle workshops are available by reservation during the business’s weekly hours and on Saturdays. They are held to celebrate events such as birthdays but to also spread knowledge and joy.
With May’s Sip+Shop event corresponding with their first anniversary as a business, the staff were excited to share this occasion with the community. Community members enjoyed having informed staff to ask questionst, hree different flavors of Space Rabbit Coffee and smelling the new spring/summer line of candles at the Candle Library wall.
“I’m excited to see how it plays out,” Hill said, “and what it might inspire from there.”
