The Highlanders garnered 37 total points, three more than fifth-place Charleston Southern. Defending-champion Liberty has been projected to once again win the conference championship with 64 total points including all eight of the possible first-place votes.
Campbell (53 points) edged High Point by two points to be picked second. The Panthers will host the 2018 Big South Outdoor Championships May 9-11.
